Meet The Staff

Jennifer Cruz is a primary care physician specializing in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Jennifer uses a functional approach to working with her patients. She combines advanced laboratory testing with Traditional Chinese Medicine to treat not only the symptom but the root cause of any imbalance.

After completion of her masters in Oriental Medicine at the Atlantic Institute, Jennifer left for China where she interned in hospitals across the country for four months. She is now dual enrolled at Shanghai University and the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine for her clinical Doctrine and Research Ph.D.

Mrs. Cruz has a thirst for knowledge and with our health care constantly evolving and changing she is passionate about continuing her education and refining her skills. In 2014 she apprenticed with Whitfield Reeves in the advanced diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of Sports Injuries and Pain. 2015, Jennifer completed the advanced level training in Orthodox Tung Acupuncture, used for immediate relief of pain and in 2016 she became certified in disaster relief with Acupuncturist Without Borders.

Jennifer’s career started in 2007 after being dual-licensed by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and the State of Florida in massage therapy. Shortly after her licensing, she left for Thailand where she studied for a month and a half becoming licensed in three levels of Thai Massage and Reflexology. She was then taken under the apprenticeship of Tricia Baughman and in 2009 they combined their techniques and came up with a unique style of massage calling it TJ Advanced Massage Therapy.

Carmen Jimenez is a bilingual (Spanish) Physician of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine who specializes in Functional Physiology. She is licensed by the State of Florida and is a candidate for Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Her training began in 2006 with Touch For Health. It was her first exposure to kinesiology and functional physiology – a technique that addresses physical, mental, emotional and energetic imbalances with minimal effort. Intrigued by the body’s ability to communicate through the use of muscle testing, she pursued additional training under the guidance of the late Dr. Victor Frank and his son Dr. Randall Frank, from whom she learned and since specialized identifying and removing neuro-physiological blockages that prevent health and wellness while supporting the body as it resumes its natural ability to heal. In 2008, Carmen was invited to join the core research team for Natural Healing Seminars and has since collaborated with its founder, and other practitioners, in developing and teaching new protocols and techniques that promote healing.

In 2013, Carmen graduated from a four-year intensive program in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Yo San University (Los Angeles, CA) where she developed her understanding of medicinal herbs, acupuncture, bio-medicine and Tui-Na for treating common conditions as well as complicated and chronic illnesses. She then trained with Dr. Tan – learning his Balance Method, to supplement her 4-year training and provide immediate pain relief with acupuncture.

Carmen commits 100% to her patients – maximizes her diverse training and experience, collaborates with other specialists and investigates new approaches – to provide patients with a complete treatment possible.

“I am passionate about self-empowerment through healing and believe that the power that made the body also heals the body.”

A relatively new resident of Florida, Lorrae grew up between Westchester, New York and Kingston, Jamaica. At the age of 15, she left Jamaica on a tennis/academic scholarship to complete her high school education at Kent School in Connecticut. She went on to Wesleyan University, also in Connecticut, where she studied American History with a concentration in Civil Rights and minoring in Film and Studio Art. After college, Lorrae moved back to New York where she worked with her uncle to open and operate what has become an award-winning establishment and a highly sought after the Caribbean inspired restaurant, just a few blocks from where she grew up. With the skills she acquired there, Lorrae went on to work with some of the most recognizable and prestigious nightlife and food & beverage establishments in NYC’s Chelsea and Meatpacking districts, after which she partnered to open her own restaurant in the East Village in 2013. Having spent many years in the hospitality arena, Lorrae set out to explore other passions of hers and so took time off to write her first book while attending esthetician school here in Florida. Now working on her second book, Lorrae has become a student of transcendental meditation and an enthusiast of holistic living and enhancing oneself from the inside out.
